Seeing Stars is an immersion into a small universe above the Pacific Ocean.
Captured from a single point in Malibu (Point Dume), the body of work opens up an energetic field of symbolism and freedom. With a sense of lightness and the promise of a better world, the exhibition space simultaneously becomes a place of refuge. Day-to-day politics and global melancholy are consciously faded out, or in Ocean Flags (2025), transformed to such an extent that energy can be drawn from them.
Paper travels through fire and storm to see truth in translucency while magnetic memories are returning like pacific waves. White canvases become a supportive harbor nearly given up on reaching, sky is clearing to see magic again.
